Murder, mayhem, sex, scandal and of course pirates! And Baltimore has seen more than its fair share! Come out drinking and touring with our learned Twisted Historian and find out where, who, how and why! And, which bars were once popular brothels in a town loaded with them! Which tavern has wrongly been reputed as the final stop on a famous writer's last night on this Earth...and what really happened to him! Hear about Baltimore's connection to Napoleon Bonaparte and about the many pirates who once considered Fells Point a safe port! For more than three centuries, travelers and locals alike have been quenching their thirst in Fells Point's many historic pubs and taverns. From European royalty to pirate rogues, anyone in need of food, drink or entertainment found their way into our many historic bars...and you can too!

The Twisted History Pub Crawl is a 2-hour walking tour (approx. 1/2 mile) into some of the most historic and famous taverns in Fells Point.

Spending about 20 minutes at each location, you'll relax with a cocktail while learning some of our most interesting and colorful history through the tales of our taverns.

We will visit three to four bars on each crawl - locations visited may include some of the following:

  • Admiral Fell Tavern
  • The Waterfront Hotel
  • The Horse You Came in On
  • The Wharf Rat
  • Rye Baltimore
  • Leadbetter's Tavern
  • The Admiral's Cup
  • Bertha's Restaurant & Bar
